1/100 Kyrios Part 3

The gray job, again and again

For the lack of a really catchy title there ^^;

More parts from 1/100 Gundam Kyrios painted in gray after the previous posting, plus some other ones this time.

[Feet] Interior portion is painted using Gaia Color 074 Neutral Gray IV.

Some minor areas on the heels are painted using Gundam Marker Gray.

[Left] The thruster on the sole is painted black using normal marker.
[Right] Too lazy to really panel line them properly, the line details on the knee joints are painted with thick black lines using panel liner.

Small vent on the parts for the side of the leg is painted gray using Gundam Marker.

Painted the interior of the main thruster black using panel liner.

To show more depth beneath the ankle guards, the rear face of the armors is painted black using normal marker.

[Knee blades/main wings] The bars in the middle of the parts are painted using Gaia Color. Prior panel lining really helped to guide the accuracy of the paint job for these parts. ^^

A pair of vents on both sides of the knee is painted yellow using Gundam Marker.

Result after panel lines applied to the parts.

[Body] Narrow valleys between the chest and abdomen are painted using Gaia Color.
It's going to be quite a torture to use Gundam Marker for this part ^^;

As with the parts from the previous posting, those that were hand painted will be left for a while before treating the excessive paint or panel lining the details, just to give the painted areas a longer time to dry. The parts that were painted using Gundam Marker can be treated quickly though, since the paint dries much faster than bottle paint. Normally I would give them ample time to dry as well, probably just as much time as the parts that are hand painted. For this kit, I think I'm working with a bit of haste actually. Maybe it's due to a sense of simplicity in this kit after working on four Master Grades last month? ^^
