A review on the fifth figurine from MS Gundam Seed Destiny Heroines gashapon set - Lunamaria Hawke Type B.
As the name indicates, this is the second version of Lunamaria's figurine in this set. The first version was introduced back in August. The two types have different design for the upper body, but since they are of the same character, some parts are interchangeable between the figures. ^^
A little bit of assembly required, as the figurine is being separated into a few parts.

Like all the four previously reviewed figurines in this set, the head is movable, but the position of her pupils and that angry expression seem best in display if the head is kept in this default position. ^^
A quick comparison with Type A.
Type A features a full Normal Suit for Lunamaria, while Type B shows the suit removed till waist level, revealing her shirt beneath it. Maybe that's what she's angry about XD
Displaying the two side-by-side, the accuracy in proportion design is very obvious to see. Type B with the suit partially removed shows a slimmer Lunamaria, which indicates the accurate realization of the Normal Suit's thickness on Type A. ^^ Most importantly, both figurines look equally good. ^^
I'm sure many people don't bother about such details, since the two types are just fixed display items anyway. I think the effort put in to work on such details is an important indication of a figurine's design quality. The attention given by the designer to get all these details right, on top of other must-haves like appealing look, colors and even cost will make the completed work stands out more among others.
With that said, the gashapon set is indeed very awesome. ^^
There's no option part given for Lunamaria Type B, but its compatibility with Type A does give the two of them some additional display options. ^^

Three gashapon figurines of Lunamaria in my collection so far. ^^ The smaller one in front is from HGIF Gundam Character 3 Vol. Gundam SEED Destiny (yet to be reviewed).
Only one more figurine, a captain of a certain ship to go before the review series on this entire gashapon set is done. ^^
