Keropla God Keron Part 31

A fat hovercraft

A look at Tamama Robo Mk-II's transformation to Tamama Submarine after the previous posting.

No handheld weapon for Tamama Robo Mk-II, nothing to detach before the transformation process. ^^

The robot actually has two alternate modes. The first mode, called cruise mode (巡航モード) will be shown in this posting. ^^

The legs are straightened, with the thighs and hips bent downward.

Both forearms are bent downward.

The left lollipop saw hand is flipped around so that the flat surface is facing forward.

The shoulder joint is hinged to the back of the body for 180 degrees.

Both forearms are then bent upward for 90 degrees.
The "thicker" side of the lollipop saw should be facing downward actually, according to the instruction manual. I prefer to have it as the top face to create a gap in between it and the sole that will come in later.

The front skirt armor is flipped downward.

Like those on Keroro Robo Mk-II for its transformation, the feet are bent downward for 90 degrees, until the heels are fitted into their dedicated square spaces behind the legs.

The hips and knees are adjusted to get the legs to bend to the back.

Done for Tamama Submarine's cruise mode.

Using a dedicated port beneath the hips, the model kit can be mounted onto the display base used by Tamama.

It's basically Tamama Robo Mk-II with its limbs tucked behind the body really. ^^; Given the robot itself is a big round ball with blocky shoulders and stumpy legs that are really hard to hide, (XD) the cruise mode looks like a really fat non-hydrodynamic hovercraft-like mecha. ^^ The propellers behind the body and the fact that it's Tamama's robot makes it easy to associate to water-related deployment and usage (fictitiously), but the overall weird proportion, especially the folded legs at the bottom of the robot doesn't support its image to me. ^^; I think it would be nicer to have to legs folded to the front and the claws deployed - essentially the look of the second mode called exploration mode (探査モード). ^^

The second mode's transformation and look will be up next. ^^
