Transformers: Generations Fall of Cybertron Deluxe Class Starscream Part 4

Great sculpt details and light piping

More images of Transformers: Generations Fall of Cybertron Deluxe Class Starscream in robot mode after going through its transformation sequence in the previous posting. ^^

Closeups on the details:

Very nice light-piping design for Starscream's eyes that allows them to be shown very brightly and clearly. They are definitely more well done than that onTransformers Specialist Decepticons Galvatron, the Transformers figure reviewed before Starscream. ^^

It's interesting to see that despite having a rather simple transformation design, Starscream's robot mode is loaded with elaborate mechanical details. ^^ Take the two chest panels for example, I suppose the dotted pattern inside each of the panels are supposed to emulate the lighting effect of that component on Starscream as seen on its in-game 3D model. While they don't light up, obviously, ^^; the dotted pattern form some really intricate details on an already great-looking upper body design for Starscream. The clear orange cockpit canopy is a great contributor to said nice look of the upper body, and the design is also very iconic of the character. ^^ There's even a dedicated spine plate with great-looking details designed just to fill in the hollow abdomen area in robot mode, which is not only cool, but it reflects the overall attention to details given to the figure as well. ^^

Another notable parts with great-looking sculpt details are the forearms. ^^ From the look of the split section, it would seem that the forearms could expand during transformation, after which the hands would flip out, hence the difference in the forearm components' colors. That feature isn't available in the actual transformation design, but the effect is revealed via the nice detailing and paint work anyway. ^^

I also like the face sculpt of this version of Starscream very much. Like the other components mentioned above, it's such a well sculpted face design, and as shown earlier on, the well done light piping allows the eyes to light up very clearly and easily, which really help to bring the figure to life when it's put on display. ^^

An introduction of the figure's articulation design and weapon gimmicks in robot mode next. ^^
