Figma Kuroneko Part 2

Six expressions

After the introduction, this posting will focus on the accessories and option parts included in this Figma set. ^^

Accessories and option parts included for Figma Kuroneko.

Even though they are included in the images above, the chair and "Shift Body" option part will be shown in a separate posting to focus on the special sitting pose they are designed for.

Two option face parts included for Kuroneko, featuring an expression with a smirk, and an annoyed look.

Rear view of the two face parts.
The large round slots behind the parts are useful in giving the head a flexible range of movement.

Typical Figma design to swap between the face parts.

Kuroneko with the option face parts.

The default face part with the blank expression.

An alternate hair part with car ears.
There's no cat tail included to complete Kuroneko's look when this hair part is used on the figure. ^^

Comparison with the default hair part.

Besides the obvious car ears versus roses, the design of the fixed hair band on the two parts is evidently different as well.

With the two hair and three face parts, Kuroneko has six different "expressions" in total. ^^

A fixed sling bag.

Closeups on the details.

Even though the strap can be bent, its molded shape means that it's really designed to be equipped to left hand side of the figure only.

Kuroneko carrying the sling bag.
The figure's head needs to be detached first in order for the bag to be equipped to the figure.

A pair of special hands fixed with tea cup and saucer.

Strictly speaking, these two hand units are meant for the special sitting pose as well, since there's little point showing Kuroneko holding the cup and saucer while standing up. ^^;

They may look bland due to having a single color with no additional details, but for their size, the cup and saucer are very well done.

A nice match between the cup and saucer. ^^

Another six option hand units for the figure.

A pair of normal-looking closed fists.

A pair of open fists that can be used to hold certain accessories.

Oddly enough, the right open fist seems larger in size as compared to its left counterpart. ^^;

One normal left spread palm.

One right hand with narrow slit between the thumb and index finger to hold the doujinshi.

Two small pla plates coverless doujinshi.
Stickers are included to form the doujinshi covers - there are two designs with three pieces each, but I don't feel like using them at all. ^^

Size of each book: 1.5cm by 2cm.

(Left) Using the special right hand to hold the book.
(Right) The open fists can be used to hold the book as well, although the connection is loose.

The default pair of expressive spread palms.

A gathering of all ten hand units included for Kuroneko.

Standard part-swapping design for the different hand units to be used on the figure.

Standard Figma stand.

Like most Figma figures, Kuroneko's connection port for the Figma stand is located on her back. Unfortunately, the rigid shape of the hair makes it difficult for the port to be accessed.

A loose connection between the two can be achieved by plugging the stand's peg into the port in an angled fashion, which is pretty much the only way for the stand to work on the figure without being affected by her hair. ^^

Is a mid-air pose like this relevant to the character? ^^;

Disregarding the chair and "Shift Body" option part, Kuroneko's accessory and option parts make her pretty standard for a Figma figure in my opinion. The different expression parts and hand units are meant to give her different looks for display instead of actual action poses with visible body movement. ^^

Speaking of which, the two special parts mentioned above are also meant to give Kuroneko a unique but rather static pose for display. ^^

Where's the "action" for this action figure then? ^^

The "universal" open fists that can be used to hold various accessories from other Figma or non-Figma sets seem fun to put Kuroneko in all sorts of crazy shenanigans though. XD

More images of Figma Kuroneko coming up in the next posting. ^^
