Sci-fi Revoltech Iron Man Mark V Part 2

Same old same old Revoltech weakness with a new twist

A look at Sci-fi Revoltech Iron Man Mark V's accessories and option parts after the introduction. ^^

Accessories and option parts for Sci-fi Revoltech Iron Man Mark V.

Inclusive of the RevolContainer, name plate and clear display base, there are just eight parts in total.

The suitcase

A fixed accessory, the suitcase is just for display.

Closeups on the details.

Size comparison with the RevolContainer.

Two pairs of option hand units.

A pair of spread palms.

A pair of "chop-type" palms.

Simple part-swapping to switch between the hand units on the wrist joints.

The default pair of closed fists.

All six hand units have painted Repulsors on their palms. ^^

A typical name plate featuring the character name and movie origin.

A clear V-shaped display stand that can be found in most Revoltech sets.

Generic Revoltech emblems molded beneath the stand.

The smaller-sized peg on top the stand can be connected to a slot beneath either foot to support the figure.

Unfortunately, neither peg can be used to hold the name plate. ^^;

The standard RevolContainer that was shown earlier on.

I find it odd for the suitcase to be displayed together with Mark V. Since the armor comes from the suitcase, why would there be a second one next to Mark V? ^^

[Legs]

Despite its lovely glossy red and metallic silver, the difficulty in adjusting the figure's legs for it to stand properly is frustrating. ^^; The hip joint is one ratchet click too many/few; the knee is wobbly; the ankle is too tight. ^^; It just seems impossible to bend the different joints to the right angles for everything to work just for a plain standing pose.

The special design for the hip joints does nothing to improve the figure's balance and stability, and since the special hip joint design was previously implemented on War Machine, which I found to also experiences the same issue as Mark V, there's no improvement on the figure's fundamental design at all it seems. The capabilities enabled by the joint design is mostly inherited from War Machine, but bundled together with its array of flaws too unfortunately. ^^;

Further adding to Mark V's miseries is the poor placement of slot underneath the mid-abdomen piece for connection to the waist joint. Instead of being straight, the slot is arranged angled to the side. This means that when the waist joint is pegged into said slot, the abdominal piece would appear twisted to one side and out of alignment with the rest of the body. ^^;

It's obviously not a design "feature" since there's no such distorted look in the figure's image behind the box.

It's a terribly amatuerish mistake that distorts the overall look of the figure, one that's much worse than the leg problem highlighted above. A display stand would help to address the issue of the figure not being able to stand properly, but I would probably need to drill another slot to accommodate the waist joint if I really want to rectify the misaligned abdomen.

The figure itself is well sculptured and painted, with elaborate mechanical details on the chest and abdomen area being the main highlight. Coupled with the bright color, it's an outstanding figure for display. However, the aforementioned issues with the leg and abdomen pieces put a noticeable dent on the figure's look, and that's truly unfortunate. ^^;

A look at articulation design of this Sci-fi Revoltech figure next. ^^

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
